FRAG4.
Posted by Time2Die@ 10:28 AM EDT

Wait, didn't we just have FRAG6? No, that was F.R.A.G. 6. Their webpage looks nothing like FRAG4's webpages...

Redwood DC-CON7 wrap up.
Posted by Time2Die@ 2:07 PM EDT

Even those that didn't goto DC-CON7 should take a look at this quick and dirty interview with the Stickmen. Kind of strange that Redwood credits this interview to a group of dudes and not anyone person. I think their assessment on "Group Attacks" and Quake3 is correct tho.

RA3 IRC Client.
Posted by Time2Die@ 5:12 PM EDT

Looks pretty cool. Now if the "id" guys would rip this off and put it in the next point release we'd be set. Here's the RA3 Site. You can bind a key to "chat" and It'll toggle the chat window while in game. Pretty freakn cool...

Stats Command in #killco.
Posted by Time2Die@ 5:54 PM EDT

Completely rewrote the !stats command for [Time-b0t]. !stats url or ? or help will paste the url to the Stats page. Fixed are the strange "/td", "@not found", and basically all of the formatting errors that were happening. Shortened the !stats responding line as much as possible and used "describe #killco" instead of "msg #killco". The command /me doesn't work in scripts..."describe" is a substitute.

1v1 Custom Maps.
Posted by Time2Die@ 9:50 AM EDT

This goes out to all of the 1v1 players out there. Find me 3 maps that you have found to be great 3rd party 1v1 maps and next week I'll put a 1v1 server up with custom maps. I really can't express how lvl rocks for level reviews. There really are some great maps being made. Take a look at this SS of a really nice conversion of q2dm1 "The Edge".

Friday.
Posted by Time2Die@ 9:40 AM EDT

Going off to the beach for the weekend. Looks like the temperatures are going to drop to the lower 80's for the weekend before popping back to the 90's next week. Bad_Mojo pop'd this link up to lighten your Friday. The F.R.A.G. page is still down because of some NetworkSolution problems so I'm going to post an alternative URL for the FRAG6 history page. Here's the link. ENJOY!

Played some really fun games last night on the Litenet server. If you haven't already gotten the japan ctf maps...I would suggest getting them...pretty fun IMO. Here ya go!

Potpourri
Posted by 2Wild4U@ 11:14 PM EDT

Thought it was interesting to see an all female quake tourney pop up. Wish the KI female fraggers could take part in this. Take a look here.
Also read on q3ctf.org forum that they have a new tourney in the works. Hopefully this will be something we will take part in. =)

D3 Drivers.
Posted by Time2Die@ 10:54 AM EDT

    New Detonator3 Drivers.

People are making claims of 20-30FPS increases. I'm going home at lunch to verify...

Update: I was using the Creative version of the 5.22 drivers and didn't get a change in FPS. One possible reason is that I have a lot of "extras" turned off that others might be running. I get with sound off 188fps at 640x480 with my configs, which you can get at time2die.killersinc.com :>

Weekend.
Posted by Time2Die@ 10:47 AM EDT

Well the site works with Netscape6...in case you were wondering. Stomped.com now...doesn't. About 90% done with the F.R.A.G. 6 history page and should have that out this weekend (if not today). I know most have seen the pic's...but I've taken the cream of the crop and added little comments and written a little commentary wrapping up the party.

FRAG6.
Posted by Time2Die@ 9:35 AM EDT

This weekend KI and friends converged on Burlington, NC (which is pretty much in the middle of Charlotte and Raleigh) for FRAG6. Most of us attended DCCON7 this year so we knew to what extremes a LAN could be taken (I won't go into the problem DCCON7 had...pretty much an organized mess...except for the network). Things kicked off Saturday at 10am and rolled till 5pm Sunday. We had 8 KI in attendance so we split into to equal teams of 4 for the CTF 4v4 Tourney. KI1 was denied by "Pro's Allstars" which was a team made up of Pro, [AVL]Grunge, [AVL]Gouki, and Exile. KI1 was Smeg, Time2Die, jargirl, and N8_Dawg. But KI2, which was lostboy, lunk, 2Wild4U, and Noogman won 2 out of 3 to avenge our defeat. That basically wrapped up the top 3 spots of the tourney out of 7 teams. It was pretty fun and was great getting to do a lot of playing. The top three spots played 5 or more games in less than 5 hours so it was pretty exhausting.

Cool stuff at the party. Meet the nWo guys that we played in a tp.net match last weekend, had a room really close unlike last years hike from the other end of the hotel, 50cent sodas, playing the Sega Dream Cast on an overhead LCD projector (think huge screen), the disco ball getting a vote on the survey for favorite staff member, two sided tape, and everyones great attitude.

Bad stuff. We had the Tiniest power problem right at the beginning of the party. Mostly due to growing pains as the guy that ran it last time has since moved out of the NC area. After closer inspection it seems there were some things that needed to be adjusted / fixed. We also seemed to actually blow one of the hotel fuses...which was this HUGE 6-8 inch, 3 inch wide huge mama of a fuse. The Network was good except for a 10/100 hub that went wacky...course that was the hub that I brought. O well. We're looking into more switches for the next one.

Attendance. Because we didn't have a Counter Strike tourney, a lot of the CS guys didn't show. That doesn't piss me off as much as if they'd canceled earlier we'd been able to fill their space with people that actually wanted to come. Annoying. The next FRAG won't have this problem, as instead of the first 88 people that sign-up get to come it's the first 88 people that sign-up and have PAID. We're getting the hang of this. I should have tons of pictures, demos, and even some stats from the ra3 server (if it'll stop screwing nop up), the ca server, and a few of the other servers. I logged everything. If anyone wants the logs feel free to email me and I'll send them on.

Words of wisdom...
Posted by Time2Die@ 2:51 PM EDT

Don't start the 60meg FAKK2 trailer and then walk away from your desk...it finished downloading and started playing without me. The experience points acquired from said booboo has secured my position as a level 10 dork.

Got a match tonight at 10pm. Won our match Sunday night against nWo. I'll post the pic's after tonights match. Getting ready for FRAG6. Doing the Q3 servers and the intranet page. Stats and all. Got about 7 KI folks going...should be a regular love in.
